*The Dr. Joe Eben Corliss, Cross Legacy, Sumner High School Class of 1958, Spartan Band & Color Guard, #BELIKEHAYLEY and Walker scholarships have additional essay questions that are required to be answered by the applicant.

ADELE KOSTER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Requirements: To a female student with a 3.0+ GPA who is involved in school, community activities and leadership.
Award(s): $500

ANAM BETH KELLY CHOIR SCHOLARSHIP
Requirements: This scholarship honors a graduating Sumner High School choir student who possesses such altruistic qualities as care for others, helpfulness to school, to students, staff, and willingness to step out to support, and help in a positive way students who may encounter bullying in school. The recipient recognizes students who may feel apart from school and social challenges for medical and other reasons.
Award(s): $1,000

ANNAMARIE CALAVAN MOFFAT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Requirements: To a student pursuing a career in education.

ARMAND MOCERI MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Requirements: To a Sumner High senior who is pursuing a four-year college degree with a minimum 3.5 GPA. They must demonstrate a commitment to enrich his/her learning through school or community leadership, or entrepreneurial skills. Preference will be given to an applicant who is the first in his/her family to attend college. An interview with Moceri family members is required.
Award(s): $2,000

#BELIKEHAYLEY SCHOLARSHIP

Requirements: The #belikehayley Scholarship honors a graduating senior from each high school (including Elhi Hill) in the Sumner-Bonney Lake School District who exhibits an understanding of the selfless and life-giving act of organ donation.

Award(s): Multiple Scholarships annually at $500

Selection: The Lewis Family

BLESSING MOVEMENT COMMUNITY BUILDER SCHOLARSHIP
Requirements: This scholarship honors students who see value in serving the community and participate in the Blessing Movement yard project and other volunteer events within the students’ local community. Each student will create value by helping local Senior Citizens, the Disabled, and/or Veterans by doing yard work for those who are in need. Multiple community organizations, local businesses, and individuals contribute and support these scholarships.                             

Award(s): Multiple scholarships at a minimum of $500 each

BONNEY LAKE SUMNER LITTLE LEAGUE SCHOLARSHIP
Requirements: This scholarship honors four Sumner-Bonney Lake School District seniors who have been Bonney Lake Sumner Little League athletes during their time in attendance within the Sumner-Bonney Lake School District. These seniors will bring the leadership and sportsmanship skills they have gained through their BLSLL athletic experience to their post high school education. Must have been a participant in a BLSLL athletics program for at least two (2) years during their attendance at Sumner-Bonney Lake School District. Eligible BLSLL playing divisions: Juniors, Majors, Minors. Student must have maintained a 3.2 cumulative GPA during high school and demonstrate leadership and sportsmanship skills gained through their athletic experience in BLSLL.
Award(s): Four $1,000 Scholarships: One male and one female at each Sumner High School and Bonney Lake High School

BOB DALTON SCHOLARSHIP 
Requirements: Must be planning to pursue a career in communications.

BOB SWANSON MEMORIAL MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP
Requirements: Must be a choral or band student who will pursue a college education.

CAVIEZEL AND NORDECK FAMILIES SCHOLARSHIP
Requirements: This scholarship will go to a graduating senior who will attend a four-year university to obtain a Bachelors degree in Education. This Scholarship is in recognition of longtime Sumner elementary educators, Nancy Nordeck and Judy Caviezel.
Award(s): $1,500

CROSS LEGACY SCHOLARSHIP
Requirements: This scholarship honors a Sumner High School graduating senior girl with a minimum 3.2 GPA who has been accepted to a college, university or trade school and who has an interest in the food or agriculture industry.
Award(s): $1,000

DAVID AND WILMA WILLIAMS SCHOLARSHIP
Requirements: Must be planning to pursue a vocational or technical education.

DR. AND MRS. JAMES P. DUFFY FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP 
Requirements: To a student in the top 20% of their class who demonstrates a clear interest in science through completion of at least three substantive science courses.

DR. JOE EBEN CORLISS SCHOLARSHIP
Requirements: Must be planning to pursue a career in business entrepreneurship. This scholarship will require finalist interviews and an additional essay.
Award(s): $2,500 each year for 4 years for a total of $10,000

Requirements: Must be pursuing a four-year college education in either liberal arts or social sciences.

Requirements: To a student who shows a desire for higher education at a vocational or technical school, community college, or a 4-year college or university.

GARIANDA-BELVAL DIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP
Requirements: The Gariando-Belval merit-based scholarship will be awarded to a minority student who exhibits high achievements and/or potential in areas such as academics, leadership, and community work. Eligible applicants must pursue undergraduate or community college degrees, have a 3.0 GPA, and be a minority student. 
Award(s): $500

GRATITUDE 253 SCHOLARSHIP
Requirements: This scholarship honors a high school senior who embodies the mission of Gratitude 253 spreading love, kindness, and joy in the 253. This student takes an interest in making a difference in the world through community service and inspires others to do the same.
Award(s): $1,000

HARRY CORLISS SCHOLARSHIP FOR THE TRADES
Requirements: A student from Sumner High and a student from Bonney Lake High who demonstrates potential, commitment to attend trade school, and has interest in a career in the construction, transportation, automotive, or engineering trades. Must be planning on attending a trade school and have a 3.0 or higher GPA.
Award(s): $8,000

HEWITT LELAND SLATER SCHOLARSHIP 
Requirements: This scholarship is given to a deserving Sumner High School student who demonstrates character, integrity, and unwavering kindness in its utmost sincere fashion. Past recipients have demonstrated in their daily activities, the character traits, integrity traits, and kindness traits that Hewitt L. Slater embodied.
Award(s): $1,000

HOPE OVERFIELD MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Requirements: Female student considering a career in health care or education.

Requirements: To a male and a female student who has demonstrated exceptional STEM academic capabilities.

Requirements: To a student studying art, music or journalism.

Requirements: Must be planning to pursue a career in education.

Requirements: To a male student considering a career in health care or education.

Requirements: To a student of good academic standing who has been involved in STEM classes and/or is interested in pursuing a career in the medical field.

Requirements: To a student who wishes to pursue a career with a sustainability conscious focus. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and must demonstrate current sustainability conscious practices in their daily life.

NORMA J. BOUSHEY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP 
Requirements: To a student who is active in school and community.

Requirements: To a student pursuing a course of study beyond high school who volunteered numerous hours in the community, particularly with Lions projects.

SPARTAN BAND & COLOR GUARD SCHOLARSHIP 
Requirements: Honors three graduating seniors in recognition of their involvement in the Sumner High school Band who have significantly benefited from the program and/or made significant contributions to the program. To students who have participated in the Sumner High School Band for three or more years, and plan to further their education at a vocational or technical school, community college, 4-year college or university, or the military.
Award(s): $500 each

SUMNER HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1973 SCHOLARSHIP
Requirements: This scholarship honors a student from Sumner High School that has a financial need and shows a desire for a higher education at a 4-year college or university, community college, vocational or technical school or trade school. Must be a graduating senior girl and/or senior boy from Sumner High School. Must demonstrate potential and commitment to attend a four-year college or university, community college, vocation or technical school or trade school.

SUMNER HIGH SCHOOL SPARTAN ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIPS
Requirements: Sumner High School Spartan Alumni offers four scholarships: 

     The Arnie Blancus Scholarship

     The Joe Hanni Memorial Scholarship honoring Joe Hanni who was treasurer and helped found the Alumni Association.

     The Don Opseth Memorial Scholarship honoring Don Opseth who founded the Alumni Association and was the first president.

     The General/Centennial Scholarship

SUMNER ROTARY ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP**

Requirements: Must be planning to enroll in a two or four year college or university with the long-term goal of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree or beyond as qualification for a future career. Preferences are given to those who exemplify Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self.”
Award(s): Several scholarships of $3,500 are awarded each year

Requirements: To a graduating senior who is a partial or full IB student, has a 3.5 GPA or higher, financial need and will be attending a community or four-year college or university.
