READY! for Kindergarten

READY! for Kindergarten is a parent education program offered FREE to families residing within the Sumner-Bonney Lake School District boundaries.

 

When it comes to learning, home is where the best start occurs.

Young children learn best through active involvement with people they love and trust. That's family!

They also learn best when repetition is frequent and in a secure environment. That's home!

 

READY! for Kindergarten classes encourage you to talk, sing, read and play with your child in simple ways that foster essential pre-literacy, pre-math and social-emotional skills. Age-appropriate activities are designed to start at birth and continue through age five. The curriculum is based on current research and replicates what parents and preschool educators of successful students have done for years. Sumner School District children whose parents attended READY! classes score higher than their peers on entering kindergarten assessments.
