Innovative Teacher Grants
The Sumner-Bonney Lake Education Foundation is expanding beyond scholarships to teaching grants for the teachers, principals, and staff members of the Sumner-Bonney Lake School District. We recognize that budgets can be stretched thin when trying to provide all the necessary tools and resources to make for a successful learning environment, and that is why we wanted to step in and help out.
To kick this program off we received a generous $5,000.00 grant from the Haggen’s Foundation. We are looking forward to all the innovative teaching ideas you guys come up with! Grants will be award in amounts up to $1,000.00 per project….no project is too small!
Purpose
Innovative teaching grants are designed to encourage, facilitate, recognize and reward innovative and creative instructional approaches to the accomplishment of program objectives.
Eligible Applicants
Individuals or teams of individuals employed by the SBLSD who are involved in the instruction of students or any related support services benefiting students.

Eligible Proposals
Grants may fund instructional and classroom materials, parent involvement programs, or any activity or material which supports higher levels of student academic achievement.

Application Opens
August 5th, 2023
The Innovative Teacher Grant application will open on August 5th, 2023! Once live you will be able to download the PDF file and access the digital link to fill out your application.
Application Due Date
October 1st, 2023
The Innovative Teacher Grant application are due by 5PM on October 1st, 2023! Please make sure to have your completed application in by this date and time to ensure we have enough time to review it.
Selection And Award
November-December
The Board of Directors will review all the applications recieved and make a decision based on the criteria set forth in the application. Recipients will be selected in November with funds awarded in December.
